Born July 27, 1935, in Asheboro, North Carolina, she was the daughter of Floyd and Ruth Moffitt and the devoted wife of the late Donald Cox.
Carolyn graduated from Pfeiffer College and spent more than 37 years at Bob Jones University, where she was known for her kindness and joyful spirit. A faithful member of Morningside Baptist Church, she served her family, friends, and community with a heart for hospitality and encouragement.
She is survived by her daughters, Amy Cox and Bethany Webb, son-in-law Jeff Webb, and her cherished granddaughters, Jenna Ontoy (Jalen), Jada, and Jillian.
Services for Carolyn will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025 at Morningside Baptist Church, 1115 Pelham Rd, Greenville, SC 29615. Visitation will be held from 11:30 AM - 12:15 PM, with a service to follow at 12:30 PM. Committal will take place at Graceland East Memorial Park, 2206 Woodruff Rd, Simpsonville, SC 29681, at 1:30 PM.
