Carroll is survived by his wife, Evangeline Charping; his daughters Debbie Vaughan (Dale), Teresa Jones (David) and his sister Linda Tate (Ray). Carroll is also survived by his grandsons Bradley Vaughan (Holly) and Taylor Center. Also his granddaughters Jennifer Boyd (Steve), Jessica Leezer (Chad), and Candace Stevens (Richie). Great grandsons Brayden Stevens, Gabriel Stevens, Jackson Vaughan, Grayson Vaughan and Charlie Leezer and his great granddaughters Penelope Boyd and Ellie Leezer as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Carroll was preceded in death by his parents Pete and Lillie Mae Charping.
Carroll spent his working career in the paper supply industry but always considered himself an entrepreneur. Carroll loved music and over the years participated in and led various musical performances in local churches. He loved being outdoors and at the beach often times enjoying a round of golf. A great accomplishment for Carroll was obtaining his pilots license and then pursuing his hobby of flying.
A visitation for Carroll will be held Wednesday, February 23, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC 29609 with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM. The committal service will take place on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
