Please know your family is in my prayers. I was privileged to know Mr. Edwards some 57 years. I was blessed to be invited into the Edwards’ home many times as a young teen. They were always so kind and gave such encouragement to me regarding my personal relationship with the Lord. I know they prayed for many times and I will be eternally grateful for their influence. Mr Edwards was a Godly man. I was blessed to know and love him.

Dear Family,
So sorry to hear of the loss of your husband and father. Our family has many precious memories of your family. Ms Edwards you may recall my sister, Karen, and Hosea Marrett holding hand in your second grade class at Welcome. They married and are still together. Rodney I believe you and my brother Tommy were friends at one time. Ms Jenell, you were one of my first girlfriends and I often wondered how you were doing. Again, so sorry about the loss of Mr. Edwards.

Sincerely,
Marion Cantrell

I enjoyed chatting with Cecil on several occasions at the fall pig pickings back in Spring Hope. Was a really nice man. Our thoughts and prayers are with Eloise and the entire family during this difficult time.

Mr. Edwards was one of my favorite teachers at Carolina High. He also gave me my start with credit unions, a career that lasted 43 years. He was a great blessing to me. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Mr. Edwards was one of our favorite teachers at CHS. He was a wonderful teacher and worked hard to support our student efforts as a club sponsor, Powder Puff football coach and more. We dedicated the 1967 yearbook to him. I treasure the sweet words he wrote in my yearbook that year; he inspired me and all of us to do great things. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this difficult time.

My sympathies to the family. My mom always had stories about growing up with her "favorite" brother. Now they are together.
