Charles Edward Brock

Charlie was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Pat. He was a devoted father to Charles “Chip” Brock (Gina), Carl Brock (Vicky), and Adele “Dell” Aycock (Mark). A loving grandfather to Kathleen, Kelly Bryant (Shawn), Alex, Abby, and Rebecca; brother to Cheryl, Dicksie, and Bill Brock (Cathy) all of Seneca.

Charlie was born in Seneca to the late Charles and Beth Brock. Charlie was a long-time member of First Baptist, Greenville where he was a member of the choir. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Furman University and Master’s degree from Clemson University with his additional graduate work from Stetson University and the University of Florida. Charlie’s career was entirely in education. He taught high school science and history, was a guidance counselor, and served 25 years as Director of Admissions at Furman followed by 5 years as the Associate Dean of Academics.

Memorial service will be Friday, November 11, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist, Greenville. The family will greet friends prior to the service beginning at noon in the narthex.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Furman University and First Baptist Church, Greenville.
