

Born on December 22, 1928, in Campobello, South Carolina, Chloris was the daughter of the late Floreid and Clarence Russell Turner, Sr.
Chloris attended Furman University, married the love of her life, Hal C. Norman, and began a very successful, long tenured career in banking. Chloris was a faithful member of First Presbyterian Church Greenville, after serving for many years as the church pianist at Mitchell Road Baptist and Edwards Road Baptist Churches.
Chloris began playing the piano at 10 years old and continued mastering her music skills to become a very accomplished pianist. Chloris even had a piano in her garden and earned her multiple features in the newspaper.
Chloris was a master gardener and loved being surrounded by flowers and unique landscapes.
Chloris enjoyed hiking, skiing and travelling. After Chloris retired, she and Hal traveled to many different places, enjoying making memories and creating adventures together.
In addition to her parents, Chloris was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Hal C. Norman, and her brother, Clarence Russell Turner, Jr. Chloris is survived by a host of nieces and nephews and lifelong friends she considered as family.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Mackey Funeral and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC 29609 on June 18, 2026 at 11:00am in the chapel. A private Committal Service will follow at Graceland East Memorial Park, 2206 Woodruff Road, Simpsonville, SC 29681.
