
Clarence Doyle Clark, of Taylors, age 90, passed away on August 25, 2017. Doyle was the son of the late C.B. and Leila Clark. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. Doyle was retired from the Engineering Department of Steel Heddle Mfg. He was named the top Industrial Apprentice in SC in his early years.
Doyle is survived by his wife, Sybil Clark of the home; two daughters, Deborah (James) Guthrie of Inman; Tammy Grant of Taylors; four sons, Wallace (Wanda) Clark of Easley, Ronald Stephen (Diana Grant of Benicia, CA, Frank (Billie) Grant of Mauldin, and Jeffery (Hope) Grant of Easley; a sister, Shirley Dickson of Greenville; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Charles (Butch) Clark; a sister, Winifred Cooper; and a granddaughter, Nicole Frasure Smith.
Doyle was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church and a member of the Christian Fellowship Class. The family wishes to thank special neighbors Wayne and Kellie Brown.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 28, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Aldersgate United Methodist Church with burial to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park with Military Honors. The family will receive friends on Monday at the church from 1:30 PM – 2:45 PM prior to the service.
The Christian Fellowship Sunday School Class will be Honorary Escort.
