As a 28-year member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, he volunteered in the children’s computer program, refurbishing computers for underprivileged children and local schools.
He was recently preceded in death by his loving wife, Beverly Clonts Turner. He is survived by his son, Brant Walton Turner (Amy); daughter, Amy Butler (Antwon); stepchildren, Scott Patrick (Lori) and Paige LaBorde (Mark); eight grandchildren — Emily Owens, Daniel Walton Turner, Eva Lewandowski, Nathan Harrison, Anna Harrison, Jack LaBorde, Jenna LaBorde, and Abby Thomason — and one great-grandchild, Hanz Walton Turner.
