David Bacon

David was born and raised in Medford, Massachusetts, the son of the late Phillip and late Virginia (Stebbins) Bacon.

David was a graduate of Medford High School in Medford, Massachusetts. David enlisted in the Navy in 1961 and it was during his service in Hawaii that he met his wife Barbara. After his service in the Navy he lived in several different cities until eventually settling in Rincon, Georgia to raise a family. David was a devoted husband and father. He was a volunteer firefighter/first responder and leader in the Rincon Fire Department for two decades. David eventually settled in Simpsonville, South Carolina to enjoy his retirement.

David is survived by his wife, Barbara Lou Bacon. David was father to the late David Stebbins Bacon, Jr (2004), and survived by his wife Stephanie Bacon Cox and her husband Marcus Cox also of Simpsonville, South Carolina. David was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Gail Koenig of Tyngsborough, Massachusetts and Nancy Henderson of Medford, Massachusetts. David is also survived by his nephew William Koenig, Jr. and his wife Linda of Taylors, South Carolina, nieces Karen Koenig of Tyngsborough, Massachusetts, Linda Koenig of Tyngsborough, Massachusetts, Holly Svendsen of Methuen, Massachusetts, and Sandy Best of Woburn, Massachusetts.
