David was born in Greenville, South Carolina. He then moved to Lake Murray, but spent most of his living years in Wyoming, where he always wanted to live. He then moved to Lake Santee for a few years before returning back home, to Greenville to spend the last years of his life. He was a Master Gunsmith, an antique gun collector, and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
David is survived by his son, Perry Talley (Teresa), two brothers, Bruce Talley (Nancy Thompson) and Paul Talley (Mary).
He was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Talley; father, Paul Talley; and mother, Sara Talley.
Services for David will be held at Mackey Funerals and Cremations Woodlawn on Tuesday, June 18, 2024. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM with a funeral service at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park following the service.
