Born in Endicott, New York, Delores was the daughter of the late Ward and Mary Spencer of Apalachin, NY. In addition to her husband, Delores is also survived by four children, Randy, Terry, Mark (Rossanna), and Angela; nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren; and her sister, Rose Hover. She was predeceased by her sister, Betty Moat.
Delores was most precious to her entire family and friends whom she touched throughout her lifetime. She was very involved in her church with many activities: singing in the choir, nurturing young girls in the Pioneer Girls club, and organizing church dinners. These gifts of hers were offered from a heart of love for others.
Always the ultimate Italian cook and spotless homemaker, Delores still worked a full-time job to help support her family. She was a great communicator who actively contacted friends and family to keep them informed of current news and important activities. Very organized and detail-oriented, she gave everything she did one hundred and ten percent.
Delores was devoted to her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her grandchildren often commented on how encouraged they were whenever grandma would call to find out “how they were”. These phone calls lessened as her dementia progressed; however, her love and care for each family member never diminished.
A visitation will take place on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 from 4-6 pm at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC 29609.
