Don had two careers in the military, serving with the Navy during WWII and as an Army officer during the Korean Conflict.
He was a graduate of Wofford College and received a Master's degree from the University of Minnesota. After college, he began his first business career working in sales and sales management for the Dictaphone Corporation where he was appointed as the Director of Sales Education. His second career took him to Washington, DC where he worked with the Federal Government for the General Services Administration and the Department of State until his retirement.
He was predeceased by his wife Carolyn Peacock Hale of Kenly, NC.
Don's surviving family will hold a private ceremony at a later date in Kenly. NC.
Don was a huge sports fan and avid golfer. He was also a member of the Hejaz Shrine Temple.
