

Dorothy is survived by her daughter Kathie Nelson (Jesse); her grandsons John C. Harmon, III (Carolina), Eric C. Harmon (Michelle), her granddaughters Amy H. Glander (John) and Jennie H. Martin (John Wesley). She is also survived by great-grandchildren; Caitlin (Jon) Eunpu, Devin, Kaleb and Eli Aurand, Ian, Jacob, Nathan and Hannah Glander. She is also survived by her sister Mary Herbicht (Hank) along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is predeceased by her husband Shelton J. Rimer, son Shelton J. Rimer, Jr., sister Agnes Stebelton, and brothers Al Kriegel and Henry Kriegel.
Dorothy grew up in a small town in Texas where she was born, baptised, confirmed and married in St. John Lutheran Church at Lariat, TX.
She was a bookkeeper for Rimer's Upside-down Mobile Home sales lot. They manufactured homes in Clinton, SC and owned Bali Hai Ranch in Laurens, SC and was a charter member of Lutheran Church of Our Saviour in Greenville, SC.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the caregivers at BeWell Home Services, Hospice of the Upstate and the Callie and John Rainey Hospice House in Anderson, SC. A special thanks to the women of Lutheran Church of Our Saviour.
A funeral service for Dorothy will be held Monday, October 31, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Lutheran Church of Our Saviour, 2600 Wade Hampton Blvd, Greenville, SC 29615, followed by a visitation in the fellowship hall.
