Dorothy E Roberson

Dorothy E. Roberson, wife of William Roberson, went to be with her Lord very peacefully at 1:09 A.M., October 7, 2014. Dorothy is the daughter of John E. McGirl and Emma Bodenhamer of Johnson County Missouri. She was born on December 22, 1931. Surviving her are her brothers John McGirl and Ralph "Bud" McGirl both from Missouri and her sisters Bernice Kreuger and Shirley Feyen both of Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin and preceded in death by her brother Kenneth McGirl. Also surviving her are her 3 children, William Roberson, Debra Foster, and Cheryl Jimenez; along with 4 Grandchildren Jason Foster, Amanda Rush, Chris Roberson and Kara Roberson and one great grandchild William Litchfied Foster. Dorothy was a world traveler living in France, working as a Peace Corps volunteer in Lesotho, and teaching English in China. Dorothy was a member of the Christian faith and a member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held for her on Saturday, October 11 at 2:00 p.m. with receiving of friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at Rocky Creek Baptist Church, 1801 Woodruff Rd., Greenville, SC. In Lieu of flowers, donations to the mission fund at Rocky Creek Baptist Church would be greatly appreciated.
