Born in Melrose, MA, Dwight was the son of the late Waldo Earle Newton and Helen Boyce Metcalf. Dwight was preceded in death by his brother, Earle Newton and his sister, Marjorie Hallowell, and the mother of his children, Linda Kerr Harrison. He is survived by his boloved wife of 37 years, Edyth Newton and his children Mike Newton (Darlene) and Jill Weis (Greg); his granddaughter, Rebecca Bolich; his grandson, Ross Perry; sister, Liz Cole (Lamar); his nephew, George Hallowell and his nieces; Katherine Hallowell and Amy Perkins.
A memorial service will be held at 2:30pm on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Mackey Mortuary.
