She graduated from Greenville High School and went on to have a fulfilling career at Studio D Photography Studio, where she worked for 20 years. She was a dedicated Southern Baptist, and enjoyed singing in the church choir.
Elaine was married to the late James Darr Girardeau on February 26, 1994. She is survived by her son, Fred Keith (Christa), her grandson, Justin (Jessica), and her great-granddaughters, Sullivan and Sawyer. Elaine also leaves behind her stepson, Scott (Deana).
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son Michael, as well as her brothers, William and Jack.
Elaine will be remembered for her big heart and loving her family and friends unconditionally.
A graveside service will be held in Woodlawn Memorial Park's Remembrance Chapel, 1901 Wade Hampton Blvd in Greenville, SC, on December 5, 2025, at 11:00 am.
