Born in Atlanta, GA, she was the daughter of the late Lee O. Sullivan and Mattie Wynn Hambrick and was a graduate of Greenville High School.
Elizabeth and her husband owned and operated Mahlon Polk Cleaners for over 50 years. She was a lifelong member of Sans Souci Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband of 66 years, Mahlon Polk, two daughters, Charlotte Milliken and her husband Jerry; and Connie Brashier and her husband Sam; six grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Frances Thomason.
Funeral services will be held Monday, September 12, 2016 at 3:00pm at Mackey Mortuary, with Reverend Wayne Watson officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday afternoon one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Children – Greenville; or McCall Hospice House.
