

Born on December 12th, 1929, he shared a birthday with his daughter and niece. Lee was proud to share his life with the love of his life, Jean, since he was 17 years old. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, bird watching, and travel. Lee built a lake house on Lake Hartwell that came to be the gathering place for multiple generations of family and friends. Lee’s family has deep roots in Greenville and watched the city blossom as a young red headed boy in overalls, even watching the construction of Wade Hampton Rd. Later in life he served in the Army during the Korean War and worked at Carolina Belting company. He will be missed.
Lee is survived by his son Rockland Hudson, and his grandchildren, Elizabeth Hudson, Thomas Hudson, and Brittany Kilgore. Lee is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jean, his daughter, Deborah, grandson, William, his parents, and his sister.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, April 19, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC 29609. The funeral service will follow at 10:00 AM. A committal service will take place at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
