He and Evelyn would have celebrated their 78th anniversary in November 2026. He grew up during the great depression and at one point worked 3 jobs to support his family. He was so proud that he was able to send his daughters to college.
He loved to take his grandchildren fishing and to baseball games. He took his youngest grandchildren strawberry picking every spring.
He was never afraid to tell someone he loved them. He gave hugs to all. He loved Evelyn fiercely and always placed her wants and needs first. We will all miss him terribly.
He is survived by his wife Evelyn Hall; Daughters Karen Davis (Keith), Carol Ann Hoffman (Michael); Grandchildren Brad Davis (Kim), Beth Hardee (Will), Andrew Davis (Tabitha), Haley Schron (Kurt), Grant McClure (Gabby) and 8 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1901 Wade Hampton Blvd, Greenville, SC 29609, on August 24, 2026, at 11:00 am.
