Felicia "Flash" Looper

Sarah Felicia Looper, 81 of Greenville, South Carolina, passed away March 26, 2022 surrounded by the ones who loved her most. Felicia was born May 18, 1940 to Ethel Sue Edwards and Carl Vincent Gordon in Ashville, NC.

Felicia worked with Bigelow Carpets from the time she graduated school until she retired. The company changed names several times and she moved with the company with each change, first to Greensboro, NC then to Calhoun, GA where she stayed until retirement. Felicia’s Bigelow friends were her extended family, she prided herself on staying in touch with all of them. She participated and helped plan each event of reunion and could not wait for day to see everyone.

Felicia graduated Parker High School, another extension of her family with whom she continuously stayed in touch. She was always involved in planning the reunions, and any special events.

Everyone that came into contact with Felicia, walked away feeling loved and valuable. She had a special smile and laugh that everyone who met her talked about. Felicia would do anything for family and friends, and they all knew it without a doubt. She will be missed by so many!

Felicia is survived by her daughter, Mitzi L. McLees and son in Law Terry P. McLees. She is also survived by her granddaughter Alora Dannon Rice and her husband John Shannon Rice and their children, her great grandchildren Nolan Shannon Rice and Axel Garrett Rice.

A memorial service for Felicia will be held at 4:00 pm, Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC 29609, with visitation starting at 3:00 pm.

The family has requested that those attending dress in color as we celebrate a beautiful life well lived.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Upstate Community Hospice House-Agape Care, 260 Fairwinds Dr. Landrum, SC 29356.
