

Macie Frances Borders Faulkenberry 88 of Simpsonville, SC formerly of Taylors, SC, and wife of the late Furman Kenneth Faulkenberry for 65+ years passed peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 17, 2026.
Born in Kings Mountain, NC April 27, 1937 and raised in Blacksburg, SC. She was a daughter of the late William Irvin Borders and the late Macie Viola Hullender Borders.
Mrs. Faulkenberry was educated in the Spartanburg General Hospital System training program as a Medical Laboratory Technician. She served in The Spartanburg and Gaffney Hospitals before her employment by The Greenville Hospital System in a career that spanned 46 years. Retiring in 2002 she found her joy in the love of her home with her husband and small dogs, drawing with pencils, listening to music and time with her family. Frances was a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church and enjoyed Bible study with her Sunday School Class.
Frances is survived by her children, Sherri Faulkenberry Davis (and Husband Jeff) of Simpsonville, SC and Steven Blake Faulkenberry (and wife Peggy) of Roebuck, SC. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Ian Faulkenberry (and wife Shelley), Cameron Faulkenberry, Austin D. Bishop (and husband Josh), Alexandra Davis, Dennis “DJ” Davis, Michael Davis (and wife Lexie), Chrissy Poole and nine great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, Frances was predeceased by her sisters, Patsy Borders Tingly, Billie Borders White, Sue Borders Stacy and her brother, Dennis Borders.
Services will be Tuesday February 3, 2026 with the family receiving friends beginning at 12:30pm and the service immediately following at 2:00pm officiated by Rev. Howard Foster at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn, located at 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC 29609 with Interment in Serenity Mausoleum on the property following the service.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Greenville County Humane Society, 305 Airport Road, Greenville, SC 29607, The American Diabetes Association, The Dementia Society of America or to the charity of one’s choice.
The family wishes to express grateful appreciation to the staff at Agape Hospice Care and very special heartfelt thanks and appreciation to her in-home caregivers for the love and kindness given to our mother. Ms. Beneatha Scott, Ms. Jaqueline Brown, Ms. Nisa Faree, Ms. Taylor Bowlin, Ms. Barbara Cunningham and Ms. Bethany Austin.
The family will be at the home of her daughter.
