

Frances was born February 15, 1924 in Greer, SC to the late Clarence Elmer Barnett and Nora Myrtle Meadows Barnett. She was a graduate of Furman University.
Frances was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, and she faithfully served her church in a variety of capacities including helping with flower arrangements for weddings and funerals. She was a member of The Garden Club and The Women’s Club. Frances enjoyed gardening and flowers, often participating in Flower Shows as a judge. Her hobbies included traveling and time with family. She always had a wit about her and knew how to make everyone laugh. She will be well missed, but lovingly remembered.
Surviving family members are her daughter, Lynn Lankford; grandson who was the apple of her eye, Charles “Chaz” Thomas Lankford; sister-in law, Jean Pitts; and her extended family, Jeff, Tracy, Brooke, and Cameron Blankenship; Larry Pitts “ The Ice-cream Man”; Debbie Constance; and a host of nephews and nieces and furry baby, Jake. She was predeceased by her daughter, Cynthia Laverne Pitts; son-in-law, Jerry Mark Lankford, in addition to her husband and parents.
A huge thank you to all her caregivers for all their assistance over the years. A special thank you to the Beverly, Tasha, Natasha and Marlene.
Private funeral will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to any dog animal rescue organization of your choice.
