

Francis Manning Freeland, 70, of Greer passed away at Prisma Greenville Memorial Hospital on February 22, 2022 with his loving family at his side. He was born February 9, 1952 to the late Manning and Josephene Clarke Freeland.
Francis graduated from Wade Hampton High School in 1970 and graduated Cum Laude from Clemson University in 1978 with a Civil Engineering degree.
Before retirement, Francis was the owner of Allied Construction for many years. He was also employed with Ashmore Brothers, Daniel Construction, CRS Sirrine and Loftis Corporation. After retirement, he worked for MRR Upstate for several years, officially retiring April 2021.
Francis was a member of Taylors First Baptist. He loved the Clemson Tigers, fishing, hunting and traveling with his wife and family.
Francis leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 30 years Sheela Snipes Freeland; sister, Connie Rimmer of Simpsonville; brother, Hugh Freeland of Connecticut; many nieces and nephews and his beloved fur babies.
He was predeceased by his two sons: Benji and Matt Freeland; sister, Carolyn Richardson of Rock Hill.
A visitation will be held Sunday, February 27, 2022 from 2 to 4 at Mackey at Century Drive.
