

He was born in Lilesville, North Carolina to the late John and Lula Hinson. He proudly served in the Navy Construction Battalion, The Seabees. Frank and his wife, Lynn, were owner/operators of Airs Inc in Taylors, SC.
After an illness, Frank moved to Greenwood, SC to live with his niece, Tamara Rhodes, and her husband, Tracy. He attended Newspring Church while in Greenwood. A favorite hobby of Frank’s was woodworking, and he especially enjoyed building birdhouses that resembled churches and gifting them to others.
In addition to Tamara and Tracy Rhodes, Frank is survived by their daughters, Anna (Charles) and Emily (Jeb); sisters, Helen Chewing and Josephine “Jo” Hinson Kelley (Maurice); brother and sister in law, Benny and Charlene Burel; children, Jeffrey and Jeanette and step-son Lee O'Dell (Allison); grandchildren, Kaylee and Tucker O’Dell; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Frank was predeceased by his wife of 44 years, Linda Bagwell “Lynn” Hinson; stepson, Greggory O’Dell; sisters, Betty Hinson Thompson and Shirley Hinson Hudson; and brothers, Ralph Hinson and Aaron Hinson.
A graveside service for Frank will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025 at 11:00 am in Serenity Mausoleum at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC.
