
Fred C. King, Jr., 82, of 80 Magnolia Crest Drive, was called home on September 26, 2017. He was widowed by his wife, June Aycock King, after spending over 60 wonderful years together. Mr. King was the son of the late Jessie Tripp Nelson and step-dad, Cecil H. Nelson, Sr., formerly of Riverside Drive, Greenville. He retired from North Greenville College in Tigerville, and later from Taylors First Baptist Church. He was a dedicated member of Temple Baptist Church in Simpsonville. Surviving are his two children, daughter Cindy King Robinson and her husband Rico of Fountain Inn and son, Perry King and his wife Carol of Mauldin; four grandchildren, Mindie Robinson Thompson and husband Corey, Bryan Robinson, Avery King, and Brady King; and two great-granddaughters, Mabry and Pruitt Thompson, God’s greatest blessings of his life. He is also survived by two brothers, Cecil Nelson, Jr. and his wife Caroline, and Kenneth Nelson; and two brothers-in-law, Rev. Marvin Aycock, Jr. and his wife Sally, and John Belton Aycock and his wife Helen. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
