He was born July 13, 1921 in Laurens, SC to the late Clive Patrick and Tessa Franks Snoddy.
He graduated from Parker High School in Greenville, SC and attended the University of South Carolina. He was an outstanding athlete who played football, basketball, and baseball. During World War II, he served in the US Marine Corps.
He was a longtime resident of the Greenville area until moving to Lake Wylie, SC, where he was a member of River Hills Community Church.
He is survived by two daughters; Angela (Ron) Eaddy and Freda Smith. Grandchildren Electa (Brian) McPherson, Justin (Leslie) Eaddy, Ashley (Greg) Mack, and Jay Smith. Great Grandchildren; Cameron and Olivia McPherson, Mercer Eaddy, Connor and Hayley Mack.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday August 6, 2011 at 2:00 pm at River Hills Community Church in Lake Wylie, SC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to River Hills Community Church, 104 Hamilton’s Ferry Road, Lake Wylie, SC 29710.
