Fred Shelton Biesecker, 86, passed away on September 1, 2018. He was the son of the late Frederick Walter Biesecker and Rose Lee Shelton. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He was a Cadet at Virginia Polytechnic Institute (VT), graduating with an Electrical Engineering degree and went on to earn an MBA degree from University of Dayton, Ohio. Fred was a Captain in the Army Reserves Signal Corp.
Fred married his soulmate, Ynema Gibson Biesecker, in 1956 and they had three children. He had an amiable soul and was a pillar of wisdom. Fred and Ynema travelled to different countries, handing out Bibles wherever they went.
He touched so many lives during his lifetime that it’s impossible to know just how many people were impacted. He had a brilliant mind and big heart.
He was also a long-time member of Gideons International and Taylors First Baptist Church, serving as a Deacon and Life group Teacher. He faithfully volunteered for Miracle Hill Ministries and as an ESL teacher.
Fred is survived by his three children: Mark William Biesecker, Timothy Eugene Biesecker (Mary), and Melissa Lee Biesecker Kerwin (Scott); nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a cousin; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at Taylors First Baptist Church on Friday, September 7, 2018 at 2:00pm. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 12:00-1:45pm. A committal service will follow the service at the Taylors First Baptist Church Cemetery.
