He was such an awesome and gentle man. Probably the best I have ever had the privelge of knowing. He will always be in my heart, espcially for his many kindnesses to Dick during his illness - his visits, his laughs, his time. Love you Gary.

Gail, Please know that I am thinking of you and praying for you. The times that I was around Gary he was so sweet and funny, too. I know Daddy thought a lot of him when they worked together at The Greenville News. You know that they all had nicknames in the pressroom. And, I believe Gary's was "Pinky". Know that he is suffering no more and is receiving his rewards from our Heavenly Father.
Please call if I can do anything for you. Judy has my number.

Much Love, Vicki "cox" Collins

David and I are so blessed to have known Gary. He will always been in our hearts: his quick smile, twinkling eyes, and always-cheerful disposition. We will miss him greatly, but know exactly where he is and that we will see him again. We love you, Gail, and extend our heartfelt sympathy for your loss.
