Gary Kindley was born to the late James Kindley and Gertrude Kindley on November 13, 1942. He had two brothers: James “Bobby” (Linda Sue) and Carroll Kindley. He is survived by his sister, Frankie Dill (Maxie), son, Jeff Kindley (Diana) and daughter, Sabrina Klein (Holger); grandchildren: Lauren Kindley Black (Jacob), Hayden Mullen, Raegan Kindley, and Conner Tapp. He has one great-grandchild, Rory Black.
Gary graduated from Parker High School and soon after married his sweetheart, Nelly Kindley. Gary worked as a Construction/Maintenance Engineering Supervisor and was sent all over the east coast because of his expertise in industrial refrigeration. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing, camping, boating and enjoyed everything sports, professional and college. He and Nelly bought and cleared a lot on the lake, then built their dream home. The two enjoyed fishing whenever possible and Gary often filled in as a part time fishing service guide. Gary was a longtime member of Oakdale Baptist Church and a lifetime member of the White Plains Masonic Lodge, 321 and a Shriner.
Gary was known as a hard-working, selfless, strong, caring man who always put his family and church first. “Pop” was a hero and role model to his family and will be greatly missed.
