George Patrick Colquhoun

George Patrick Colquhoun, 82, formerly of Great Neck, NY died of lung cancer in Greenville, SC on Thursday December 1, 2011. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, he was the son of the late Samuel and Mary McKeown Colquhoun. He was a plasterer by trade, a telephone company lineman/testing technician, and 35 yr Master Mason. He loved singing in the church choir, attending bible study, listening to music from the 40’s, Scottish Country Dancing (RSCDS), and a wee dram of Glenlivet. He was predeceased by his wife Marjory and is survived by a daughter and son-in-law: Moira-Jean and Curtis Hanson of Simpsonville, SC; a daughter-in-law: Diane Belotti and her husband Andy; five grandchildren: Dana L. Hiner, Jayme M. Roof, Nikki A. Gajowski, Brianna R. Hanson, and Graeme C. Hanson; two great-grandchildren: Alayna G. Roof and Kennedy A. Hiner. Services will be Monday December 5, 2011 at 12:00 pm in the Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home with burial to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 10:00 – 12:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
