Georgios "George" Vasilis Serpanos, age 70, of Greenville, SC passed away peacefully on Palm Sunday, April 13, 2025 at home, surrounded by his family. He was born on May 22, 1954 in Stenoma, Greece to the late Vasili and Amalia Serpanos.
George spent his life in Greenville, SC with his beloved wife, Ourania Serpanos where he co-owned and operated “The Clock of Piedmont” for over 35 years.
In addition to his loving wife of 34 years, George is survived by his daughters, Amalia Serpanos of Greenville, SC and Niki Bakousis (Kostas) and grandson, Christos, all of Charlotte, NC.
A memorial service to celebrate George's life will be held on Wednesday, April 23rd, 2025 at St George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 6pm. And then he will be buried in Stenoma, Greece per his request to return “home” .
Most importantly, George's legacy lies in the roles he cherished the most as a devoted husband, father, and Papou. The impact he made on the lives of the people who had the honor of knowing him, along with his gentle spirit will echo through their hearts forever
