Gerald Lamar Brown, 68, of Greenville, passed away August 30, 2014. Born in Greenville he was the son of the late TJ and Velma Brown. Lamar was employed by Sitton Buick. He was active in animal rescue and was a founding member of Bald is Beautiful Dog Rescue. Surviving are his wife, Debra “Micki” Brown; a son, Michael Brown of Columbia; a daughter, Sonya Young of Clinton; a sister, Frances Harkins of Greenville; and five grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 2:00pm at Church of the Redeemer, 120 Mauldin Road, Greenville.
