Gloria May Wise passed away March the 6th, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Melbourne, Australia, on June 20, 1934. Gloria toured in the national Australian ballet company, eventually reaching Prima Ballerina status. After a successful ballet career, she entered show business. Two tours around the world brought her eventually to the United States, where she became a proud U.S. citizen. Gloria is survived by her loving husband, Captain Bert W. Wise of Westminster, SC; sisters Deanna Mills and Marjorie Ramsey; brother Arthur May, all of Melbourne, Australia; mother-in-law Lillian Wise of Alexandria, Virginia; son-in-law and daughter-in-law Bain and June Hall; and granddaughters Emily and Darcey Hall, all of Arlington, Virginia. A memorial service is planned for Saturday, March 29th at 2:00 p.m. at Eternal Shepherd Lutheran Church in Seneca, SC.
