
Can't believe it's almost 2 yrs now!  So many days come and gone with some of those days bearing thoughts and memories of you with all of us. Sometimes I wish you still here with other times happy that you are whole again and knowing though your vessel failed you, you haven't failed us as you are still here for us all! ILYIMYD. 

Joe was for the most part totally tireless after having been raised on a farm in his younger years there were so many things that he could do and often by himself, I would look and think to myself, how in the world could he of done that alone, so I would ask and he would smile at me and say" well you know me patience is " not" one of my virtues", and oh how true that was...Joe was what I call a mover and a shaker, I never knew what to expect when I returned home, but whatever he decided to do, rest assured that it would be something beautiful and well received, not only by myself but everyone else as well, he loved creating and designing beautiful landscapes, interior design, and quite honestly anything he put his mind to, I miss him to the inner depths of my being but I also take solace in knowing that he is no longer in pain, and more importantly is an Angel in Heaven, and no one can take from me all the fond memories that will forever remain in my mind, until I too, join Joe, and all our loved ones, in the Glorious Heaven above.  P.S. I really miss your country cooking...….and, well, you know!!!!!

To me Joe was many things:
A loving, kind, hard working man who was always willing to jump in and get things done.
When he loved you he did it wholeheartedly!
When he helped you he helped you until the job was fully completed.
He accepted me as I was; and loved me as I was. I didn’t have to change anything about myself for him. 
He never expected any type of repayment for what he chose to do for you. He did it with a pure giving nature that was uniquely Joe!
If he looked at a project you wanted done or walked into a room and you told him what changes you would like made, he then would look thru what things you had to work with and before you knew what happened it would be as if he had waved a magic wand and transformed it all into something more amazing and beautiful then you could have thought possible. 
An absolute king of repurposing! The amount of his talent and creative imagination bundled with his ability to craft and build was just one of the many things that he could do with astonishing flair.
He was a jokester and a sly one with one of the quickest wits I have ever encountered! We could be in the midst of a discussion and me ask a benign question. Then, without a moment of pause he would respond in the same tone with the same facial expression  and for a second it would throw me off because it was so unexpected. Then I would process again what he said and we would erupt in laughter! 

I have been truly blessed with the vibrant threads that Joe has woven into my heart and life and am forever grateful to this amazing man. 
All of my love and heartfelt thanks to you Uncle Joe! 


Pete, so very sorry for your loss...also our sincerely condolences to the Simpson family. Joe was always kind to us and we loved his sense of humor. May God bless you all with comfort, peace, and good memories. Eddie and Nami Taylor 

There are no words to express how much I think of Joe.  A 30 year neighbor and friend, I cannot look any place in my yard and not think of Joe.  His and Pete's tireless help in landscaping, gathering old brick and laying walks, digging a pond, moving fences, moving and planting shrubs and flowers as well as help working on the house itself,  with lots of laughter,  a ton of sweat and memories to lasts a lifetime.  Not to mention, always being there for me.  I'll miss you sweet Joe and cherish the memories I have of our friendship.  God blessed me deeply the day you moved in next door.  Rest easy dear friend in your glorious days with our Lord.

As I sit here and ponder through my mind of all my life I find it so hard to just pick one memory of Daddy to share.  Sigh.... Daddy and Pete were painting I asked if I could help. Daddy let's me help says I can paint the French doors. As I am working on the frame side ' Daddy do I paint the hardware?" " Yes" so I proceed painting that pretty new brass hardware. Well then as he sees what I've done " why did you do that?" " I asked you said yes so I did" .... I had to hand over my brush and Daddy says " you are not allowed to paint anymore"  so to this day when someone says  Do you paint?  My automatic response is "I can't paint my Daddy said so". Well why not because "Daddy said I'm not allowed to paint anymore that's why!" 

             I Love You Daddy!
