Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late Claude and Marie Waters.
He is survived by his wife: Margie Waters; two daughters: Gina Finley and her husband Tony of Simpsonville; Sherry McAlister of Greer; four grandchildren: Logan Finley, Lindsey Finley, Jessica McAlister and Liza McAlister; one brother: Gerald Waters
He was predeceased by a sister: Margaret Holcombe.
Funeral service will be Sunday at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home with burial to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00-3:00 pm in the funeral home.
