Harriett was a graduate of South Carolina Baptist Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as an RN in a variety of settings for 44 years. She often received notes of appreciation from her patients for her kindness and her warmth. She had experience in General, Thoracic, and Cardiovascular Surgical Nursing. She also had experience in Internal Medicine and Oncology Nursing.
She was predeceased by her parents; Robert Gleason and Anne Royster Gleason; her husband Kenneth Bentley and her sister Bobbie Slater.
She is survived by her stepchildren; Pamela Puckett (Jim), Karen Knight (Bill) and Kenneth Bentley also her grandchildren; Jimmy Puckett, Shep Puckett, Emma Knight Conover (Neil), Caroline Knight Cummings (Josh), Ellison Bentley, Sam Bentley and a great grandchild; Rowan James Conover.
A service will be held on Saturday March 1st at 11:00 in the Chapel at Taylors First Baptist Church 200 W Main Street Taylors, SC 29687.
