Herbert Allen O'Neal

Herb was a faithful and loving husband to his high school sweetheart and wife of 68 years, Anita Hays O’Neal, and he was a beloved father to his two children. He served as the former pastor of Victory Baptist Church in James Island, SC and was the true example of a believer. He was a nationally awarded photographer and owned the Herb O’Neal Studio of Photography while living in Atlanta, GA. He was also an avid golfer and loved the Atlanta Braves.

Herb is survived by his dear wife, Anita O’Neal; his daughter, Peggy Patton (Rick); his grandchildren, Douglas O’Neal (Mary Teal), Ginny Richmond (Nathan), Austin Patton (Mariel), and Richie Patton (Heather); and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Herb is predeceased by his son, Donald J. O’Neal; and his sister, Dorothy Buckley.

A funeral service will be held in the Chapel at Graceland East Memorial Park on Sunday, June 24th at 2:00pm. The family will receive friends prior to the service in the chapel from 1:00 – 1:45pm. A committal will follow in the park after the service.
