Herbert David Rosamond

David is survived by his wife, Danae Rosamond; his two sons, Brian David Rosamond (Vicki) and Jamey Michael Rosamond (Carrie), and four grandchildren: Rebecca Lynn Rosamond-Grammer, Benjamin David Rosamond and Lily Kate and Miller Rosamond , all of Dallas Texas. He is also survived by his sisters, Mrs. Larry Norwood (Evelyn) of Atlanta, GA and Doris Jackson of Greenville, SC.

David spent his early years in Greenville County and graduated from Taylors High School in 1960 as a member of its final graduating class. He continued his education at Clemson University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in 1964 and following that his master’s degrees in civil engineering.

Upon graduation from Clemson, David began what would become a 43-year career with Lockwood Greene Engineers of Spartanburg. During his career, he served in numerous leadership positions, including 14 years as manager of Lockwood Greene’s Dallas, Texas, office. His career eventually took him and Danae overseas, where he served as Lockwood Greene International President for Asia Pacific and Europe. Over the course of 12 years, they lived in and managed offices in Singapore, Shanghai, China, and Moscow, Russia.

David retired from Lockwood Greene in 2008 from the company’s Moscow office. He and Danae then returned to South Carolina and made their home in the Keowee Key Residential Community on Lake Keowee, an area David had loved since his days at Clemson.

David became deeply involved in the Keowee Key community. He served on the Keowee Key Homeowners Association Board of Directors and on numerous committees. He especially enjoyed working on construction projects within the community and contributing to the continued improvement of the place he was proud to call home.

Outside of his community involvement, David enjoyed playing golf at the Keowee Key Country Club and, whenever possible, attending home games of his beloved Clemson Tigers.

David’s life was marked by a successful career, a love of family and community, and a lifelong connection to Clemson and the Upstate of South Carolina.

A memorial service will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park in the Remembrance Chapel, 1901 Wade Hampton Blvd., Greenville, SC 29609 at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 11, 2026. Family will receive friends immediately after the service in the funeral home chapel.

A Celebration of Life ceremony is planned for the near future at the Keowee Key Country Club.
