A native of Greenville Cty. She was the daughter of the late Charles J. Wade and Violet Lee Wade.
She was of the Baptist faith and attended Taylors High School.
She was predeceased by her son, Bryan K. Fowler. Bryan was an only child and was loved unconditionally and sorely missed by his family.
She is survived by her grandson, TJ Fowler, granddaughter, Katlyn F. Blackwell (Matthew), sisters, Betty Basinger (Jim), Charlene Black (Ronnie), two great-grandsons, Noah and MJ, and many nieces and nephews.
She was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant. She enjoyed her work and helping the residents of several upstate facilities. Her other joys were her grandchildren, gardening, and traveling.
She lived her life as a warm, giving Christian, always putting others' needs before her own.
A graveside service for Hilda will be held Sunday, February 6, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC 29609.
