

Born in Puerto Rico, he was a son of Lucia Tirado and the late Ismael Acosta. Ismael was a devoted father and husband. He was a man that instilled family values and left behind tremendous memories to carry on a lifetime. A respected man who always tried to make someone smile or laugh, and that’s how he lived his life. He enjoyed spending time with his family, swimming, and going on family trips. He was the most humble, loving, and caring man anyone could have ever met. He always aimed to please by never saying “no” to his kids and especially his wife, Carmen. As a husband, father, or friend, he was always there and will always be remembered.
Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are three children, Milagros Osorio (Juan) of Greenville, Ismael E. Acosta (Jessica) of Williamston, and Jessica Sanchez (Leonardo) of Simpsonville; one brother Oscar Tirado of Greenville; and five grandchildren, Damaris E. Napoleoni, Christopher A. Osorio, Jordan R. Lora, Lia J. Sanchez, Jorge H. Rivera, Jacob A. Acosta, and Audrianna C. Acosta.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandson, Nathan I. Napoleoni.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 27, 2021 from 1:00 PM until 2:45 PM at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Century Drive, 311 Century Drive, Greenville, SC 29607. The family will hold a private funeral service, however, the service will be live streamed on the Mackey Mortuary Facebook Page on Saturday, February 27, 2021 beginning at 3:00 PM, the link is: www.facebook.com/mackeymortuary. Social distancing will be observed, and masks must be worn while at the visitation.
