Jack Dean Patterson passed on August 18, 2026, at the age of 97. He was the son of the late William Perry and Ollie Patterson. He opened the first Baskin-Robbins in Greenville and he was retired as former owner-operator in trucking and worked at Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport for Avis Car Rental.
Jack was a gradaute of Campobello High School and served in the United States Air Force.
Jack was predeceased by his wife, Janette Patterson, his son Steve Perry Patterson, and all of his siblings: Roy Patterson, Sam Patterson, John Patterson, Floyd Patterson, Llyod Patterson, Charles Patterson, Melvie Belue, Lillian High, Lyda Wilson, Georgia Patterson, Thelma Patterson, and Eva Lowe.
Jack is survived by his step-son Scottie Sullivan, two step-grandchildren Zackery Sullivan and Hunter Sullivan, several step great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will take place on Friday, August 21, 2026, at 10:30am in the chapel of Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park at 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville SC, 29609. Jack will be laid to rest in Graceland East Memorial Park.
