Born in Miami, FL, he was a son of Van and Judy Deese Blanchard.
James was a 1998 graduate of Eastside High School and received a BS from the University of South Carolina with a double major and minor. He will be remembered as a devout man of faith who was kind, caring and always available to help his friends and family. He especially loved being “Uncle James” to Mary Neil, Brooks, and Deacon.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brothers, Heath Blanchard and wife, Amy, and David Blanchard of Greenville; his niece, Mary Neil; nephews, Brooks and Deacon; his trusty lab Alice; and many friends.
There will be a Celebration of James life held later this month in Monroe, NC.
