Born in Grover, NC, he was the son of the late Charles Conner and Florence Conner.
He served in the US Army and he was a member of Monaghan Baptist Church.
He is survived by his sons: Steve Conner (Beth), Randy Conner (Donna), Jeff Conner (Susan); daughters Lisa Henson (Douglas), Leslie Gosnell (Albert); six grandchildren: Brent, Kevin, Ashton, Bekah, Bradley and Griffin; one sister Bonnie Collins.
He was predeceased by his wife Hazel Conner and twelve siblings.
Funeral service will be held today, Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 11:00 am at the chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home, burial to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Greenville, South Carolina.
