James N. Ducker

James was born on March 3, 1937. He was the son of the late C.L. Ducker,Sr. and Lola Mae Freeman Ducker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Troy Ducker, C.L. Ducker, Jr., Roy Ducker, and Glenn Ducker,Sr.

James worked as an Optometrist Assistant and at “Flowers By Danny” Florist. He was also a driver for Mr. Bill Gaffney. He was a long time member of Long Branch Baptist Church and former Chairman of the Trustee Board. James was also a Boy Scout Troop Master.

James loved good food and enjoyed eating out at his favorite restaurants. He was a great cook and loved to cook and cater for special occasions. James loved helping other people. He had many comical expressions that would make you laugh. When asked how he was doing, he would reply, “I’m kicking, but not high”. James will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Left to cherish his memory are his sister-in-law, Charmese Ducker of Greenville, SC; nephews Aldrich Ducker of Denver, Colorado, Charles Lee (Valerie) Barber, of Greenville, SC, Thomas (Deborah) Ducker of Brooklyn,NY, Benjamin F. Sr. (Peggy) Ducker of Greer, SC, and Bobby James Ducker of Jamaica, NY; niece, Carolyn (Richard) Rooks of Brooklyn, NY; nephews, Allen Ducker of Brooklyn, NY, and Glenn Ducker, Jr. of Greenville,SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures. He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul. He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me.Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies. Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
