James McClure

James Russell McClure, 85, husband of Frances Putnam McClure, passed away on March 11, 2012. Born in Landrum, SC, on July 6, 1926, James was the son of Alander McClure and Hattie Pruitt McClure. James was a member of Pelham Road Baptist Church.

James is survived by his wife Frances Putnam McClure; two daughters Jan Merritt of Greer, SC and Kim Kemp (Randy) of Greenville; four step-children Bobby Cornmesser (Betty) of Jacksonville, FL, David Cornmesser (Vickie) of Gaffney, SC, Jody Cornmesser (Bernice) of Bartlett, TN, Beth Dobson (Bobby) Greenville, SC; eleven grand-children Russ Merritt (Elizabeth), Brian Merritt (Michelle), Julie Cirillo (Matt), Madison Kemp, Jamie Kemp, Penney Weeks (Joel), Lisa Rice (George) Joshua Cornmesser, Andrew Dobson, Thomas Dobson and Marie Dobson; ten Great-grandchildren; four brothers Roy McClure, Billy McClure, Andrew McClure and J.C. McClure; one sister Mary Green.

A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 3:00 pm in Remembrance Mausoleum Chapel at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation is prior to the service from 2:00 -3:00 pm with burial immediately following at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
