Jimmy was a Greenville native and born to parents James and Sarah and sister Debbie on January 12, 1960.
Jimmy played drums in the band at Greenville High School where he met Lisa, his high school sweetheart, and love of his life who he went on to marry. Lisa and Jimmy were married 36 beautiful years. They have two children, Kayci and Andrew and their spouses Brad and Megan. Jimmy became a proud grandfather in December 2020 to Blake Adelaide, daughter of Kayci and Brad. Jimmy’s sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Steve Wilson, are the parents to his nephews Nicholas (Melinda), Matthew (Katie) and Thomas(Megan), and five great nieces and nephews.
Jimmy loved his family and worked tirelessly to provide for them. He worked with New Carolina Construction Company for 40 years.
Those who know Jimmy know him as a loyal servant. He was a dedicated servant to Christ, his family, his church, and his many friends. There was no task he wasn’t willing to do to help someone in need.
Jimmy joins his father and mother, James and Sarah, and his sister-in-law Kelli Tate Morris in heaven.
The family will receive friends from 12:30pm until 1:45pm on Monday, May 10, 2021 at City View First Baptist Church with a service at 2:00pm in the sanctuary. Burial will follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
The family asks that memorials be made to City View First Baptist Church Building Fund, 2300 W. Blue Ridge Drive, Greenville, SC 29611.
