James Richard Williams Sr.

James R. Williams, Sr. passed peacefully at home on August 30, 2018 in his 92nd year. He was born in Greenville, SC to the late Robert Fulton and Sarah Elizabeth Williams. Surviving are sons James R. Williams, Jr. (Barbara Campbell) and Michael S. Williams (Gretchen); daughter Deborah D. Davis (Bobby); and grandchildren Jason Williams, Benjamin Williams (Rodi), Amy Williams, Kyle Davis and Parker Davis. He was preceded in death by his adoring wife, Evelyn H. Williams; and his brothers, Hal Williams, Tommy Williams, and Bobby Williams.

James was a proud graduate of Furman University.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in the Remembrance Chapel at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Entombment will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations to the Shriners Hospitals for Children – Greenville at ShrinersHospitalsForChildren.org/Greenville.

The family will be at the daughter's home, 104 Lake Forest Drive, Greenville.
