Wow Marc, I don't know what to say here, except that I grieve your loss with you. We "met" at Carolina Ale House during football season and talked about church and pianist and organist, I think! Wished I could've stayed and talked longer, but you-know-who was harassing me to move along. (Hint: NOT Carolina Ale House) I always loved Jerry's comments on FB - tho few and far between they were. He liked my "china" pattern..which was our everyday use growing up. So, I, of course loved him even more after finding out he was in the ENGLISH dept at my alma mater. (And I was a wannabe Eng major!) 
    
     I just can't tell you how heart-broken I am for you, and even as I hurt, I realize yours is a thousand fold. I hope the memories (good) sustain you, and friends will hold you close. My prayers will be for you.
