He was known for his warmth, humor, and unshakable love for those closest to him, which was rooted in his deep love for the Lord.
He loved his church family at Roper Mountain Baptist Church where he faithfully served as a deacon and usher, always offering his time and energy to support his church family and community.
Jim was a devoted family man who cherished his wife Susan, his children, Jessica (Jonathan), Michael, John (Kellie), Jeffrey and Heather. He was also affectionately known as Pops to his 6 grandchildren , Addison, Kenadee, Mabrey, Emerson, Holyn and Titus, whom he loved more than anything in the world.
An avid golfer, Jim spent many happy days on the course perfecting his swing and enjoying the camaraderie of his fellow golfers. His skills as a BBQ grill master were legendary, as he took pride in creating delicious meals for family and friends, often gathered around his grill for good food and even better memories.
Always ready to lend a hand to those in need, he left a lasting impact on everyone he met with his kindness and generosity.
Jim will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His legacy of love, service, and laughter will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
