Jimmy Max Ward, 85, went to be with our Lord January 3, 2022. He was preceded by his mother and father Maggie and Max Ward, sister Judy Coleman, and grandson Joseph Ward Turner. He was a devoted and loving husband to Sarah Ann Mullinax Ward for 66 years. He was the proud father of Jimmy Bryan Ward (Kim) and Lisa Ward Stewart (Tim) and Bop Bop to 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
In his younger years, Jim was the Minister of Music at Dunean Baptist Church and continued his love of Gospel music throughout his life. Jim and Ann are current members at Taylors First Baptist Church.
Jim worked for JP Stevens for 30 years and led 13 textile mills while mentoring their facility managers. Following this he was instrumental in forming and growing American Services Inc. and was the President up until the time of his death. Jim’s passion was always developing people in both business and private life.
Jim lived and taught “Family First” through a constant and unwavering love. This love was often exhibited by a twinkle in his eye while assuring us all with his wonderful smile. Jim not only taught his family about life - he lived what he taught.
He was the heart and head of our family, and his legacy is branded deep in each of our hearts.
