Born on July 2, 1940 in Greenville, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Sara and Jabrez Reynolds. Joan was a longtime faithful member of Northgate Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her husband Robert Taylor, her son Jeff Taylor, brother Mike Reynolds, and sister Elaine Harp.
She is survived by her son Keith Taylor, brothers Robert Reynolds and Randy Reynolds, as well as several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews who will remember her fondly.
Services for Joan will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at Northgate Baptist Church, 633 Summit Dr, Greenville, SC 29609. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM, with a memorial service to follow at 1:00 PM. Joan will be laid to rest at Greenville Memorial Gardens after the service.
